Why You'll Love It

A cottage garden classic, Calendula Pacific Beauty Mix brings cheerful double blooms in shades of cream, yellow, gold and orange, flowering from spring right through to the first frosts.

Easy to grow and low fuss, it suits full sun to part shade, tolerates poor soil and light frost, and prefers cooler conditions, often slowing down in the height of summer before picking back up as temperatures ease. Regular deadheading keeps the blooms coming, and it readily self-seeds for years of repeat colour.

Growing to around 60cm tall, it's a versatile choice for borders, beds, pots and cut flower gardens, and the open blooms are well loved by bees and butterflies.

It's also a popular companion plant in the vegetable garden. Its blooms draw in beneficial predator insects like ladybugs and lacewings, and act as a useful trap plant for aphids, helping keep them away from nearby tomatoes, carrots and brassicas.
