Why You'll Love It
A cottage garden classic, Larkspur Imperial Mix produces tall, sturdy spires packed with fully double, ruffled blooms in a romantic mix of violet, deep blue, rose pink, and white. The foliage is fine and feathery, giving the whole plant a light, airy feel even at full height.
A favourite for both fresh and dried arrangements, it holds its colour beautifully once dried, and its nectar-rich blooms are well-loved by bees and other pollinators. It thrives in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, and prefers cooler conditions, performing best when sown to establish before the heat of summer arrives. Larkspur has a sensitive taproot and dislikes disturbance. Seeds need darkness to germinate, so cover them well rather than surface-sowing. Best sown in autumn for the tallest, earliest blooms, or in early spring.
Caution: This product is intended for ornamental use only. All parts of this plant, including the seeds, are toxic. Please keep away from pets and children. The buyer assumes full responsibility for the safe use and placement of this product.
