Why You'll Love It

Calendula with a twist. Calendula Touch of Red Mix brings the classic buff, orange and yellow tones of pot marigold, edged and backed with a deep mahogany red that catches the light beautifully, giving every bloom an extra layer of depth and warmth other calendulas just don't have.

Growing to around 60cm tall, it's a standout in borders, cottage gardens and containers, and makes a brilliant cut flower, with each plant producing blooms by the dozen right through its bloom season for a steady supply for the vase.

Easy to grow and low fuss, it thrives in full sun, tolerates poor soil and light frost, and prefers cooler conditions over the height of summer. Like other calendulas, it's a favourite with bees and butterflies, and a great companion plant near the vegetable patch, drawing in beneficial predator insects and acting as a useful trap plant for aphids.
