Why You'll Love It
A garden favourite with a flower like no other, Cosmos Candy Stripe features large white and rose blooms striped and edged in deep crimson and pink, each one slightly different, giving every flower its own playful pattern. Set against fine, fern-like foliage on tall, airy stems, it's a cosmos with serious cut flower appeal.
Easy to grow and fast to establish, it thrives in full sun, tolerates poor or dry soil, and shrugs off heat once established. Flowering from summer right through to the first frosts, it's a non-stop bloomer that just keeps self-seeding, and works just as well massed in a border as it does cut for a vase. Avoid sowing during peak summer for best results. Pinch out seedlings once established to encourage a bushier, more floriferous habit.
Growing 80cm up to around 100 cm tall, it suits the back of sunny borders, cottage gardens, and cutting patches, and its open blooms are loved by bees, butterflies, and birds.
