Description
Flowers for Wetlands Mix is a medium-height, annual and perennial mix specifically designed for wetlands and cool spots. Best suited for retention ponds, brighten up your property with this cost-effective wildflower mixture.
To help this mixture establish itself and bind to the soil, you have the option to combine it with grasses and legumes as well.
Containing 7 annuals (such as Starflower, Rose Mallow and Mallow) and 12 perennials (such as Eastern Catmint, Purple Loosetrife and Sneezewort).
Follow the advice given on our How To Sow page to get the best results - a glorious flowering show from early Summer to Autumn.
For areas with full sun and good soil, 2 grams per square meter, or 3 grams for a denser flowering, is ideal. For areas larger than 500 square meters, aim for between 2-4 grams per square meter, but do not exceed the recommended amount.
Keep in mind, more seeds do not equal more flowers; instead, they will compete with each other, resulting in lesser species growth.
